Series C – Convoluted Core Hoses

The Diebolt & Co. ElectraFlo II Series C Electrically Heated Convoluted Core Hoses feature our state of the art, proprietary hose heater element for precision temperature control. With a flexible design, the Series C offers the capability of operating in continuous moving conditions. Each hose comes standard with thermal insulation, is supplied electrically and comes hydraulically complete. Different options are available for usage, including a tough polyurethane jacket for outdoor service or a braided polyester sleeve for indoor use. Typical hose applications include product transfer and viscosity control for hot melt adhesives, plastics, asphalt, tar, oil and wax chemicals.

The Series C is available in three models: CL, CM and CH. Model CL high temperature hose features a flexible Teflon Core, electrically heated hose for operation to 400°F (204°C). Models CM & CH hoses feature braided stainless steel cores electrically heated for operation to 625°F (329°C).

Electrical & Temperature Information

The Diebolt Engineering department helps you determine the proper power density for your electrically heated hose, based on desired operating temperature, low ambient temperature and size of hose. Voltage capacity for the Series C works with any phase up to 480 VAC. Series C electrically heated hose must be controlled (except for the self-limiting “SL” version) to maintain the desired operating temperature. A temperature hose heater sensor is installed during construction and, unless otherwise specified, will be installed three feet from the power end of the hose.
